This is an one-semester introductory course on optics. The subjects include gemetrical optics, optical instrumentation, physical optics, and lasers.

3 hours per week,  3 credits.

Prerequisites : PHYS 120 or PHYS 121, MATH 250.

Textbook: Introduction to Optics, Second Edition, by  Frank L. Pedrotti and Leno S. Pedrotti, Prentice Hall Publisher.
