John and Hershie help collect dramatic two-edge spectra of Ni-Co compounds.

Vitaly devises and executes a study of the absorbance of Kapton tape, with surprising results.

Dachun, Scott, and Vitaly collect extraordinary two-edge spectra of Mitsubishi sample. Sample was prepared using glove box by Jihane and Dachun.
Vitaly notices an irregularity in the ring current--NSLS control room personnel are intrigued.
BOOM! Explosion on neighboring beamline. No damage, no injuries, but some running and cursing.
