We have a postdoctoral position available in our group. The primary goal is to advance a continuing project studying materials for advanced batteries, but correlated electron systems, particularly the metal-insulator transition, are also studied and the incumbent would be encouraged to conduct independent research as well. Familiarity with x-ray absorption spectroscopy (EXAFS, etc) is important and acquaintance with battery materials or related areas such as ion conductors is desirable. Appointment would be initially one year with renewals possible. There is no formal deadline for applications, which will be accepted only until the position is filled.
